Arizona mother defends her home from intruder who reportedly assaulted her daughter

An Arizona mother bravely confronted a man who allegedly assaulted her and her one-year-old daughter inside their Buckeye home.

Bella Torres claims that the unidentified suspect approached her front door last Friday, asking if he could use the restroom. She recalls, “All he says is, ‘Can I use your restroom?’ And, as he says restroom, he starts to charge at me and grabs my neck.”

According to Torres, the man forced her to the ground, kicked her daughter, and demanded that she undress. In a desperate attempt to get help, she managed to escape outside, continuing to fight him off.

Security footage from her home captured part of the encounter, where Torres can be heard exclaiming, “What the f–k is wrong with you?” while attempting to fend off the suspect.

The man responded, saying, “I am on drugs,” and provided a strange justification for his actions, claiming that Torres’s boyfriend had sent him, stating, “He told me he was into this.” When asked for her husband’s name, the suspect did not reply. The situation ended when Torres’s husband arrived home, prompting the suspect to flee.

Thanks to surveillance video, police were able to identify and arrest the suspect, a 20-year-old named Adrian Ayala, in less than 24 hours.

During the arraignment, Ayala’s attorney suggested that he had been invited by Torres’s husband to engage in some kind of consensual role-play. However, the judge clarified that even if that were true, it wouldn’t serve as a valid defense.

Ayala was released on a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court again later this week.
