Tragic Discovery in Arkansas Mansion
A woman was found dead alongside her two children in an Arkansas mansion, and she had shared some unsettling posts on Facebook months prior to this tragedy.
On December 3, authorities discovered Charity Bearis, 40, and her children, having succumbed to gunshot wounds in their home in Bonanza, Arkansas, during a welfare check initiated by the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office. This incident occurred just a day after her final divorce hearing with her estranged husband, Randall.
Reports indicate that Randall allegedly strangled Charity on February 16, 2025. Initially charged with aggravated assault against a family member and other related offenses, he eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of third-degree assault in October. His sentence was a year-long suspension along with a no-contact order with Charity, which she reportedly supported.
Unraveling Events
Charity filed for divorce shortly thereafter, following Randall’s arrest. Their marriage, which began in 2015, saw them part ways in February of this year. In an unsettling twist, Charity made a cryptic social media post in August that included an article headline warning about the dangers for women who have been strangled by their partners. It claimed that if a woman had faced strangulation once, her chances of being murdered by that partner rose significantly.
In the comments, she added hashtags like “#StopCorruption” and “#SystemicFailure,” emphasizing her distress regarding the legal system, stating, “I’m living this fight right now. I’m a victim and yet I’ve been treated like a problem while a criminal doctor is protected by the system that’s supposed to protect us.” She further lamented her failed attempts to contact the prosecutor, expressing that her voice as a victim had been stifled.
The investigation into the case now involves the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security. While no suspects have been officially named yet, authorities reported that multiple search warrants are active. As of the latest updates, Randall, a local doctor, is not considered a suspect.
After Charity’s death, Randall’s attorney took steps to dismiss the ongoing divorce case, particularly as Charity had been seeking full custody of their children. The situation continues to unfold as more details emerge, and the community grapples with this heartbreaking event.
