Leandro Trossard has admitted Arsenal must be more ruthless if they want to turn their fortunes around against Chelsea. Mikel Arteta's side have not won in the Premier League since October 5, and in Wednesday's Champions League loss to Inter, they had 21 shots on goal but only four on target, snapping a second consecutive scoring streak. I couldn't.
Trossard has taken on some of the creative responsibilities in the absence of captain Martin Odegaard, but is expected to play a role at Stamford Bridge on Sunday after returning from injury against Inter.
Trossard, who has started seven Premier League games this season and scored twice, believes his side are close to scoring. He was asked if Arsenal need to take more advantage of the chances they are creating.
“I think so,” he said. “Last year we had a similar path. People were questioning our scoring and since January we've been outscoring five opponents in five or six games. There are tough times every season. , it's up to us to start again. My faith in the team is still really high. We have great players so we can turn things around quickly.”
Trossard added: “Of course we want to win more. I think we played a good game on Wednesday. We didn't score and they got a penalty. Overall, we want to win the game and score goals. We're working on it. We just need to click, so we hope it's Sunday.”
The participation of Declan Rice, Mikel Merino and Kai Havertz remains questionable. Trossard scored Arsenal's opening goal in April's record 5-0 win over Chelsea at the Emirates, but will now go into the derby trailing their rivals on goal difference. Moises Caicedo's form has been a key factor in Chelsea's resurgence under Enzo Maresca, and Trossard admits his former Brighton team-mate is improving.

“He's definitely a top player,” he said. “When he joined the Brighton team, I immediately knew he could be a big player in a big team. It was difficult at first, maybe because of the situation at Chelsea. But now he They have a bigger role and a bigger impact.”
