As mainstream media ignores the situation, Israel and the U.S. are dismantling Iran's military power.

The United States has partners in the confrontation with Iran, though you’d hardly guess that from typical media coverage. For instance, Israel has faced the loss of 18 citizens, while its Gulf allies have reported at least 20 casualties. Additionally, thirteen U.S. military personnel have died in the conflict.

As our allies bear the brunt of the attacks that aim to harm us all, it’s crucial for Americans to learn more about their experiences. Since October 7, 2023, when Hamas, an Iranian proxy, invaded Israel, the nation has been in a state of war. Israel is currently collaborating with U.S. forces in air operations over Iran and is engaged in intense fighting in southern Lebanon as Hezbollah reinitiates attacks on northern Israel.

There are several talented journalists and analysts out of Israel. For insights, you might want to look at the Twitter accounts of former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. @DrMichaelOren and emerging voices @havivrettiggur, @Nadav_Eyal, and @AmitSegal, who both share free newsletters. They also appear on the “Insider” edition of the podcast “Call Me Back,” hosted by Dan Señor.

Israel has been at war since that tragic day in October, and their significant involvement in this conflict—caught in a situation with two fronts and daily missile attacks—can’t be overstated. It’s important for Americans to understand what this war looks like from their perspective, and even that of their Gulf allies, though there seems to be a lack of comprehensive information on that front.

Having an ally like Israel is invaluable. Reports from Fox News, particularly from Trey Yingst and Lucas Tomlinson, highlight on-the-ground situations. Honestly, I don’t watch other news channels; I’m not in a position to compare, but I have noticed that many online publications more often feature pessimistic or discouraging articles. There’s no denying that both American and Israeli military forces have a strong grip on the weakened Iranian military.

After this conflict concludes, there will be time to dissect what reporting might have overlooked, and how potential biases against figures like President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu have influenced media narratives. It’s as if overlooking that bias is akin to ignoring the war itself.

Currently, American and Israeli forces are effectively dismantling the military that Iran’s extremist regime has spent decades building. If this were a boxing match, the referee would definitely step in, but in war, the quest for targets is ongoing.

The social media presence of U.S. Central Command and the Israel Defense Forces offers ample information, and both President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu regularly utilize these platforms for updates. It’s actually quite impressive how many questions and answers President Trump has addressed in just a few weeks of major military action. There’s really no shortage of information about the conflict.

While some in America harbor disdain for Israel due to various, deep-rooted reasons, they don’t represent a significant portion of the public. It’s essential for regular Americans to be aware of what Israel and its allies are confronting, and thankfully, that information is accessible.

The Iranian regime is among the most malevolent entities to exist in recent history, openly expressing contempt for the United States and the West. Defeating them would serve as a major victory for both the global community and the Iranian populace.

Looking for evidence? There’s a compelling book by Vali Nasr titled “Iran’s Grand Strategy: A Political History,” published by the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, that serves as a valuable resource.

This conflict stands out as one of the defining narratives of this decade, and its resolution could parallel historic moments like the fall of the Berlin Wall. It’s curious that the war and its implications don’t seem to receive the attention they deserve.
