Kerryon Johnson’s Auburn Response Raises Eyebrows
Alabama fans are likely enjoying the latest buzz surrounding former Auburn Tigers football player, Kerryon Johnson.
During his college career, Johnson stood out as a phenomenal running back, amassing a total of 2,494 rushing yards and scoring 32 touchdowns. His finest performance came in 2017, where he racked up an impressive 1,391 yards and 18 touchdowns before transitioning to the NFL. With such accolades, you might expect him to feel a significant sense of pride in his time as a Tiger. But, maybe not.
On social media this week, when asked if he was “proud to be an Auburn Tiger,” Johnson could have easily replied with a simple “yes” to sidestep the issue. Instead, he opted for a rather nonchalant “Eh” in a tweet that has reached over a million viewers.

Responses varied, but fans expressed their disappointment clearly, with comments like, “This is a bummer” and “Damn man this one stings.” Some even shared sentiments of sadness over feeling the need to unfollow one of their favorite players. It’s a reminder that sometimes, athletes don’t fulfill the expectations their fans place on them.
