Teenagers Charged in $66 Million Cryptocurrency Home Invasion

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a shocking home invasion plot linked to a staggering $66 million in cryptocurrency. This incident occurred in Scottsdale, Arizona, just a couple of hours away from where Nancy Guthrie was last seen.

According to reports, the teens allegedly posed as delivery drivers to gain access to the home. They confronted the homeowners and restrained them with duct tape, demanding information about virtual currency. When one of the victims insisted they had no cryptocurrency, the situation escalated.

Fortunately, the adult son of one of the victims managed to call the police from another room. The teenagers fled the scene just before law enforcement arrived but were later apprehended.

It remains unclear if this home invasion is connected to the ongoing investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. Guthrie was last seen on January 31st.

One of the suspects’ mothers alerted authorities in California after discovering alarming text messages. These messages allegedly detailed the robbery, claiming he was wearing a delivery uniform at the time, and included a specific home address in Scottsdale. Unfortunately, the tip came in after the home invasion had already happened.

Reportedly, the suspects were armed with unloaded 3D printed guns, though their purpose is still uncertain. Both teens face serious felony charges, including robbery, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.

As they are minors, the suspects have not been publicly identified. Court documents suggest they might have been coerced by individuals known only as “Red” and “8,” who provided them with $1,000 to purchase disguises and burglary equipment.

This home invasion has drawn significant attention as the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, raising more questions about the surrounding circumstances.
