Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb. – The defenders of the US and Europe’s “arming Ukraine at its peak” pointed to the American Revolutionary War in opposition to the concept that Ukraine should surrender to Russia.
“I’m glad that General George Washington didn’t say, ‘We’re so powerful that Britain is unlikely to defeat them, so let’s surrender.’ But that’s what some of our leaders are telling Ukraine, the victims of Russian invasions,” Bacon writes. I’ll post it on x.

“European allies and we should arm Ukraine to the greatest extent and help them protect their country from the Russians, and now North Korea and Chinese,” Bacon declared. post x.
Some Americans are opposed to the prospect of providing additional assistance to strengthen Ukraine’s war efforts.
But Bacon argues that supporting Ukraine is in America’s interest.
