Bailey Zimmerman Addresses Arrest Warrant
Country musician Bailey Zimmerman recently responded after an arrest warrant was issued and charges were filed against him in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court.
Through his attorney, Zimmerman shared a statement addressed to the Sandia Pueblo and his fans. The charges include criminal damage to property and providing false services, with the warrant issued on June 18th.
In his statement, Zimmerman explained, “I want to address the events surrounding my canceled show in New Mexico back in May and the media coverage that followed.”
He expressed remorse, saying, “I apologize to the Sandia Pueblo Tribe and everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino. I never intended for this to come off as disrespectful.”
An affidavit, as reported by sources, claims that Zimmerman exhibited disorderly conduct before a performance on May 27 at Sandia Resort and Casino. He ultimately withdrew from his scheduled show, allegedly causing over $16,000 in damage to his hotel room. Reports indicate that he ordered $400 worth of alcohol but did not pay for it.
Continuing his statement, Zimmerman acknowledged, “I am deeply sorry for my actions. I respect your community and am thankful for the chance to perform on Native Land.”
He took full responsibility, stating, “I’m sorry to anyone who felt hurt or disrespected.”
Zimmerman recognized the distress his concert cancellation may have caused his fans. “I genuinely apologize to all the fans who bought tickets and came expecting to see me perform. I realize that being a musician carries huge responsibilities, both on and off the stage, and I feel I fell short that day.”
He added, “I regret the disappointment and concern I’ve caused.” Interestingly, he mentioned, “I take this legal matter seriously and am dedicated to doing the work necessary to learn and grow.”
It’s still uncertain if he plans to surrender to authorities in light of the warrant.
