Barstool’s Dave Portnoy questions Musk’s ability to run both DOGE and Tesla

Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, expressed concern about whether Elon Musk's could cut costs for the US government as head of Doge, the government's efficiency ministry.

During his Friday appearance on FOX's “Varney & Co,” Portnoy said he “have the right to ask,” given the company's stock decline significantly over the past month.

Portnoy also claimed he was asked to join President Donald Trump's Commerce Department on the condition that he would stop running Barstool Sports.

Portnoy attended the “Varney and Co” show on Friday on Fox Business Networks, talking about Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, Elon Musk, and Trump. The show airs on weekdays with the aim of breaking down the latest financial and political news. Fox Business

However, Portnoy immediately said, “They don't follow,” and said he doesn't know “if.” [the offer] I was serious when I said yes. ”

Portnoy did not immediately respond to requests for comments from posts relating to requesting job offers.

Portnoy connected the job posting to concerns about masks' ability to hold two major positions at once. “If you run a company, it's difficult to run a government, that seems like it,” Portnoy said.

Portnoy said it could be a “coincidence of a 25% decline in inventory since starting Doge,” but reiterated that shareholders believe they have the right to ask Musk about their ability to run both Doge and Tesla.

“I like doges, I like what they do. But let me know this. If you email a federal worker and say “the past five days,” I think Tesla shareholders have the right to ask CEO Elon Musk, “what have you done for Tesla in the last five days?” So I think the only thing he cares about right now is Doge,” Portnoy said.
