Homan Critiques Democrats on Immigration Rhetoric
On Friday’s episode of FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Tom Homan, a former border official, voiced strong criticism against Democrats for their incendiary language regarding immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) agents.
Homan highlighted the increasing dangers faced by these agents, stating, “The job has become more hazardous.” He explained that agents take precautions, like wearing masks, to shield themselves and their families. He pointed out that not only are the agents targeted, but so are their spouses and children, noting a disturbing rise in threats against them. He remarked that the threats have increased significantly, with reports suggesting the danger level has surged by over 400% due to the current political rhetoric.
During the discussion, Jesse Watters interjected to mention, “Swalwell and other Democrats are calling for action against ICE agents.” Homan responded, “Swalwell isn’t exactly a beacon of integrity, is he?” He continued to emphasize that if members of Congress aren’t informed about ICE’s activities, changes in the law might be necessary. He expressed frustration over the lack of acknowledgment regarding serious issues, like the more than 400 individuals on the terrorist watchlist and the surge in fentanyl-related deaths at the border.
Homan also emphasized that the record number of deaths—over 4,000—associated with border crossings is largely ignored by those in power, suggesting a conspiracy of silence among some lawmakers.
