Beyoncé recently had to remove a video clip from her concert showcasing the Las Vegas sphere following a legal threat from venue owner James Dolan.
Attendees at her concert in Los Angeles, part of the “Cowboy Carter Tour” launched last week, shared clips of this striking visual online.
Kathleen McCarthy, representing the Sphere Entertainment Group, sent a legal notice to Beyoncé’s company, Parkwood Entertainment, claiming unauthorized use of images of the sphere.
Despite the threats, some concertgoers noted on Sunday that the CGI visuals of the sphere were not aired during the show at Sofi Stadium.
So far, neither Beyoncé nor her representatives have provided comments on the matter.
Interestingly, discussions between Sphere and Beyoncé last year ended when the venue denied her request to close for rehearsals, as one source mentioned to the Post.
Additionally, the Sphere Management had indicated they would help fund her high-tech production, which she had estimated would cost around $10 million.
Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter Tour” is set to reach Las Vegas on July 25th and 26th, taking place at Allegiant Stadium.
