Biden declares Trump the ‘clear front runner’ in GOP race after Iowa trouncing

Following Trump's landslide victory in Iowa on Monday night, President Biden declared former President Trump the “clear frontrunner” in the Republican presidential race.

Mr. Biden also immediately began a fundraising drive following Mr. Trump's victory. He continued to attack “extreme MAGA Republicans” in posts on X (formerly Twitter).

“Donald Trump appears to have won Iowa. He is clearly the opponent's favorite at this point,” Biden wrote.

“But here's the thing: This election is always going to be a battle of you and me versus extreme MAGA Republicans. That was true yesterday and will be true tomorrow,” he added.

Biden followed up his statement with a request for donations to his 2023 re-election campaign.

President Trump said Monday night that he is “energized” and “very honored” after winning the 2024 Iowa caucuses and feels “strong” for our country, Fox News He told News Digital.

“It was such an honor to be announced a few minutes later that I had won a great race against a very credible competitor,” Trump said.

He added: “It's a tremendous event and a tremendous emotion.”

“We have to take our country back,” he told FOX News Digital. “Our country has been through so much bad over the past three years, and bad things continue to happen.”

Iowa votes are still being counted, but Trump clearly has the lion's share of the vote, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a distant second, followed closely by former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. ing.
