Biden found to have aggressive prostate cancer while Trump raises concerns about public disclosure

President Donald Trump commented on former President Joe Biden’s recent prostate cancer diagnosis during a press briefing on Monday, expressing concern and sympathy. Biden’s team had revealed the diagnosis the day before, stating he had developed “small nodules” due to an increase in urinary symptoms.

According to their statement, Biden was diagnosed with prostate cancer characterized by a Gleason score of 9, indicating a more aggressive form of the disease that has spread to the bone. Still, they noted that it’s hormone-sensitive and manageable, with the President and his family currently discussing treatment options with his doctor.

During the briefing, Trump described the news as “very sad,” expressing surprise that the public wasn’t informed earlier about Biden’s severe condition. He mentioned undergoing extensive health examinations, including cognitive tests.

Trump further emphasized the need for cognitive evaluations for anyone running for president, suggesting that it’s crucial for public understanding. He implied there should be more transparency regarding Biden’s health and called for a closer look into the diagnosis.

As Trump spoke, he also highlighted concerns about the communication surrounding Biden’s health, stating that significant issues result when the truth isn’t shared. He reflected on how shocking the news of Biden’s diagnosis was and noted the widespread sympathy expressed from across the political spectrum.

In the face of his diagnosis, Biden took to social media to thank supporters, noting that cancer has an impact on many families. “Cancer touches us all,” he wrote on X.
