Biden-Harris DHS to Funnel 65K More Foreign Workers into Blue-Collar Jobs

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), led by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, has announced an additional 65,000 jobs, even as Americans continue to be lost to the labor market due to the growing influx of immigrant workers. It will funnel H-2B foreign visa workers into blue-collar jobs.

DHS and the Department of Labor made the announcement shortly after the presidential election, allowing companies to import an additional 65,000 H-2B foreign workers to work in construction, meat processing, landscaping, and other industries. Then he pointed out.

Companies are already allowed to import 66,000 foreign workers on H-2B visas a year to fill non-agricultural, blue-collar American jobs, with a cap set by the president. It is regularly expanded by the government.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in an announcement that importing more foreign workers for U.S. jobs is intended to prevent U.S. wage increases and thereby “keep prices down.” He admitted that he was doing so.

“The Department of Homeland Security is taking full advantage of the H-2B visa program to ensure that U.S. businesses meet their labor needs, keep prices down for consumers, strengthen worker protections, and bring more workers to the U.S. It helps deter irregular immigration,” Mayorkas said.

Specifically, of the 65,000 H-2B visas, 20,000 were issued to Guatemalans, Salvadorans, Hondurans, Haitians, Colombians, Ecuadorians, and Costa Ricans, and the remaining 45,000 visas are issued to foreign workers who previously entered the United States on H-2B.

As Breitbart News has reported for years, the H-2B visa program is rife with abuse.

The expansion of foreign workers into the labor market continues to show that U.S.-born Americans are being eliminated from the workforce, with the vast majority of new jobs going to newly arrived immigrants, as Bureau of Labor Statistics data continues to show. It's happening even though it's happening.

Last year, for example, native-born Americans lost nearly 800,000 jobs, while foreign-born workers secured more than 1 million jobs.

Similarly, native-born Americans continue to have fewer jobs today than they did before the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, indicating that all of the net job growth has gone to foreign-born workers.
