On NewsNation’s “Cuomo” broadcast Wednesday, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) responded to reports that the CBP One app was used to release hundreds of thousands of immigrants into the country, saying: “In my lifetime, this is one of the most dangerous events we’ve ever faced, and it has the power to create something we can’t even imagine,” Borders said. Because we don’t know where so many of these people are and what their intentions are. [in] come here [are] Because we couldn’t judge them or scrutinize them. And that’s something that has to stop. And Joe Biden owns it. ” Manchin also said Democrats could have acted sooner on the border, saying he expects President Biden to declare a border emergency during his State of the Union address, but that it would still be “very slow.” Ta.
“I’ve always known that we’ve had parole in our country, but in countries that have been in dire straits, they should be vetted in that country before they’re allowed to come here,” Manchin said. “I always understand that,” he said. On a parole basis to see if it’s worth living in our country and if it works for everyone so they can go to work and start creating a life. But as I understand it, it’s been going on for quite some time in many administrations. I think that’s what you’re talking about, state parole. ”
He continued, “When I got paroled at the border, that’s when it got completely out of hand, because that’s when catch-and-release started. Chris, the border today is me. Host Chris Cuomo said, “Democrats could have introduced this bill. They could have done it sooner. Schumer brought it now.”
Manchin replied, “Of course.”
Manchin added, “Joe Biden has to act on this. He shouldn’t just sit around and wait to see if the Legislature will do something. …He should declare a state of emergency. He has to secure the border immediately, and I hope he says that in his State of the Union address tomorrow night.”
Mr. Cuomo responded, “Yeah, me too.” He will still be late. ”
Mr. Manchin responded: “Very late.”
