Biden Should Revoke Visas of Students Breaking Laws in Anti-Israel Protests

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “America Report” that the Biden administration has committed illegal acts during ongoing anti-Israel protests at Columbia University and other universities across the country. He said the visas of the international students involved should be revoked. .

“I’ve heard that about 100 people were arrested at New York University last night. It looks like we may need more arrests today,” Cotton said. We need to call on New York City’s best to arrest those who break the law, those who occupy private property when ordered to disperse, and those who harass and intimidate Jews. It puts students in the middle of an early pogrom and requires them to actually do what they’re supposed to do on campus, which is go to school.”

He added: “By the way, foreign students who are here on visas should have their visas immediately revoked by the Biden administration and be immediately deported.” They have no right to be here. They certainly have no right to spew anti-Semitic or anti-Israel filth here. ”

Cotton concluded that “it is not the university’s prerogative to decide whether or not the NYPD comes to campus.” Sure, university presidents will welcome it, and the police will cooperate, but New York City has a duty to enforce the law and protect innocent civilians like Jewish students. ”
