Biden tells auto workers ‘we don’t taste that good’ before facing Gaza hecklers in Michigan

President Biden told autoworkers union workers in Michigan on Thursday that Americans “don’t taste very good” in a bizarre aside, hours later jeering anti-Israel hecklers in the critical battleground state. I was blown away.

Michigan has a large Arab-American population, and polls show a majority of this group is considering opposing Mr. Biden over the Gaza war.

Biden previously used the lunch analogy to say that China was not an economic threat because then-President Donald Trump was waging a tariff-driven trade war to try to force a beneficial trade deal with China. , joked that Americans don’t have very good taste.

“Is China going to eat our lunch? Man, they don’t even know how to deal with the fact that there’s such a huge divide between the China Sea and the mountains in the west.” Mr. Biden said: As a candidate for 2019.

After entering the White House, Biden returned to midday meals to discuss China while touting the success of legislation to boost environmental and infrastructure spending.

“If we don’t act, they’re going to eat our lunch,” Biden said in 2021. “They’re investing billions of dollars to address all sorts of issues related to transportation, the environment, and all sorts of other areas.” We just need to step up. ”
