Former President Donald Trump has blamed President Joe Biden’s U.S.-Mexico border policies for the rape and murder of Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, allegedly at the hands of illegal immigrants.
Rachel Maureen was last seen on August 5, 2023, going for a walk on the Mama & Papa Heritage Trail in Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland. When she didn’t return home, her boyfriend reported her missing. Her body was found the next day on the side of the trail.
On June 15, the Tulsa Police Department Announced Police announced the arrest of Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, 23, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, in connection with the rape and murder of Morin, as well as the assault of a 9-year-old girl and her mother in Los Angeles, California.
Martinez Hernandez crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in February 2023 to flee a murder charge in his native El Salvador. Police say Martinez Hernandez had killed a young woman in his home country in January 2023, just one month before crossing the southern border.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Biden’s border policies were the cause of Maureen’s rape and murder.
“Yet again Joe Biden’s criminal illegal immigrants have been indicted for the rape and murder of another innocent American woman!” Trump wrote.
Rachel Morin was a fugitive in Maryland, just like Laken Riley was in Georgia, when she was brutally murdered by an illegal monster wanted for murder in El Salvador. They fled to the United States, knowing that Crowded Joe would allow them in. Because Crowded Joe refused to close the border, Rachel Morin’s five young children were left growing up without a mother. [Emphasis added]
The fact is, this week Biden is preparing to grant mass amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. This is unsustainable and cannot be allowed to continue. On day one, we will close the border and begin deporting millions of illegal criminals under the Biden Administration. We will once again put the American people first. And make America a safe country again! May God bless Rachel Morin’s family, especially her five children! [Emphasis added]
Morin leaves behind his girlfriend, five children, five siblings and many other family and friends.
“Above all, Rachel was passionate about children and family, loved fashion and was a fitness enthusiast, frequently participating in 5K marathons and weightlifting,” Molins said. Obituary “She enjoyed traveling in her free time and had visited numerous places including Miami, Aruba, Las Vegas and New England.”
Martinez-Hernandez is being held in the Tulsa County Jail and will be extradited to Maryland to face rape and murder charges in connection with Morin’s death.
