Former President Biden’s Withdrawal from the Election

Former President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential election one year ago, after facing pressure to step aside from Democratic party officials.

During this period, many on the left—including Biden’s allies—often described him as “sharp as a tack,” which, in hindsight, seems ironic given his debate performance on June 27, 2024, against Donald Trump. That debate became a significant turning point, with even left-leaning media questioning his “inconsistent and painful” delivery.

Despite calls from party leaders like former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Chuck Schumer for him to leave the race, Biden insisted for a while that he would continue. His supporters argued that to drop him would go against the wishes of the Democratic voters who had backed him as their 2024 candidate.

A month prior to the debate, pressure from nearly 20 House Democrats finally led Biden to announce his withdrawal. He stated he would support the vice president as the new frontrunner for the 2024 election.

In a recent interview with journalist Andrew Callahan, Hunter Biden disclosed that during the debate, his father had taken Ambien.

“I knew exactly what happened in that discussion,” Hunter stated. “He could have flown around the world three times. He’s 81 years old and, frankly, exhausted.”

“They gave him Ambien so he could sleep. When he stood on stage, he looked like a deer caught in the headlights,” he added.

After Biden’s withdrawal, Vice President Kamala Harris became the Democratic contender against Donald Trump in the upcoming November election.

Meanwhile, the Justice Department, led by Attorney General Pam Bondy, is investigating whether Biden’s use of an autopen for signing documents was done at his discretion or through his staff’s actions. The autopen has been utilized for signing pardons, including for notable figures like Dr. Anthony Fauci and General Mark Milley.

The House Oversight Committee is also examining potential efforts to conceal Biden’s mental decline, including issuing subpoenas to former officials from his administration.
