Joe Scarborough Talks Biden on Kimmel Show
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Joe Scarborough, the host of MS NOW, shared some insights about former President Joe Biden. He revealed that Biden’s staff often reached out to him, reminding him that the president was tuning in to “Morning Joe” and asked him to be gentle in his critiques.
“I’d get calls from his chiefs of staff saying, ‘Please, be nice. If you say something critical, it’ll ruin our day,’” Scarborough explained. However, he noted that those requests didn’t sway his approach to hosting.
“At the end of the day, whether I’m discussing Biden or Trump, my aim aligns with yours. We all want a better country,” he added. This perspective seems to underscore his commitment to honest commentary.
Scarborough also mentioned that he suspected Trump might also be keeping an eye on his show. He recounted how he had reached out to the former president after a conversation with Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz regarding Minneapolis. “I took the initiative to call him and suggested that it would be beneficial for people to see him, Walz, and the Minneapolis mayor engaging in dialogue,” he said.
On a March 2024 episode of “Morning Joe,” Scarborough described Biden as “the best Biden ever,” despite ongoing doubts about his physical and mental fitness. “I’ve always thought he was persuasive, but he’s evolved. I genuinely think he’s at his best now, intellectually and analytically,” he stated emphatically.
He further articulated, “If you can’t grasp the truth, maybe I shouldn’t be here. This version of Biden is the best we’ve seen.” His reflections demonstrate a mixed view, recognizing Biden’s strengths while hinting at the complexities involved.
In the wake of Biden’s departure from the 2024 race and Harris’s loss to Trump, some publications have surfaced, featuring insider accounts revealing troubling insights about Biden’s health from his administration and re-election campaign.
In May 2025, Scarborough acknowledged that the notion of Biden being the greatest president was likely misguided, admitting he was simply reflecting his personal experiences.
Biden’s office did not provide any feedback to requests for comment.
