“Real-Time” host Bill Maher mocked President Donald Trump as “a little boy” about his comments about the Democrats in his speech to this week's Congressional joint session.
“For me, the announcement of the speech was when he said it. It's all about love,” Maher responded during a panel discussion Friday night. “You know, I think he's a little boy who didn't get enough love.”
“It sounds like a relationship fight. “There's nothing I can say to make you smile,” Maher said.

Maher then performed a clip of the union speech last year when former President Biden declared that “political violence has no place in America” and pointed out that Republican lawmakers stood up and refused to applause.
“So they couldn't support it. They couldn't praise it, “there is no place for political violence.” So it's two-way streets,” Maher said.

Trump targeted Democrats for refusing to ride his agenda while promoting the bold actions he took since he was sworn in after taking office.
“This was my fifth speech to Congress, and once again I saw the Democrats in front of me and realized that there was absolutely nothing to say to make them happy, to stand, smile, or praise them,” Trump said.
“I was able to find a disease that would cure the most devastating disease, wipe out the whole country, present answers to the biggest economy in history, and announce a halt of crime to the lowest ever recorded,” Trump continued. “And these people sitting here don’t applaud, they don’t stand, they certainly don’t cheer for these astronomical achievements, they don’t do anything about it.
He then challenged the Democrats directly, saying, “Just this night why not join us to celebrate so many incredible victories for America? For the benefit of our nation.

Early in the debate, Maher expressed fatigue from being furious at the falsehood that Trump had been given in his speech.
“So Trump said it wasn't exactly true, and when I said it wasn't exactly, I mean nothing,” Maher said. “And I think you should talk about it when you're conservative and he says a lot of lots aren't even close to the truth, and I think you should talk about it, this, and you saw all this they're revealing it.
“I take everything with a single grain of salt. If he says Zelensky's approval rate is 4%, that's 57. It's like the dog's year,” joked Maher. “If someone says the dog is four, the dog is 28.”
