Bill Maher tells Kamala Harris to ‘just shut up’ about Israel, says critics of Jewish state ‘full of s–t’

“Real Time” host Bill Maher had harsh words for Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her “total bullshit” when it comes to her Middle East policy.

During a panel discussion on Friday, Maher spoke about what is widely believed to be a covert operation this week in which Israel detonated Hezbollah pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon, killing dozens of terrorist operatives and wounding hundreds more.

“Kamala Harris said this week about what should happen when the war ends: 'No reoccupation of Gaza,' 'No change to Gaza's territorial borders,' 'The ability to create security for all parties in the region in a way that creates stability.' If that's what you have to say, then don't say anything. Just stay quiet,” Maher responded.

“Anyone talking about Israel these days is saying really rubbish,” Maher said. “'I don't want my kids to die.' Obviously. Who does that? Nobody wants my kids to die. Nobody wants this war to continue. But that doesn't address the essence of the problem.”

He continued, “The problem is, one side wants a two-state solution, or at least has always wanted it. Now we're talking about Israel, which has moved a little bit to the right, but that doesn't change their position. One side never wanted it, and doesn't want it now. One side uses terror to achieve its goals. One side retaliates against terror. One side is accused of genocide but doesn't do it. The other side actually wants to do it. People keep saying that Israel has a right to self-defense, but whatever Israel does they oppose it.”

Despite the rebuke, the liberal comedian is not only endorsing Harris ahead of the November election, but is already predicting her victory following her performance in the debate against former President Trump.

“I'm going to make this night very significant with my prophecy,” Maher said last week. “Because this prophecy has credibility. Because I've been called a 'Trump alarmist' for a long time. They were wrong, but I was right. He's not going to give up power. But since then, and [Access Hollywood] “And he survived. Every time he did something crazy and got in trouble, I was like, 'No, no, it's not over.'”

“Tonight I'm going to say this: I think it's over,” Maher said, drawing cheers from the liberal audience.

He continued, “Even before we were born, in the early '50s, there was this guy named Joe McCarthy, and he ran America. He was number one for a couple of years, and then it just felt like 'dog eat dog.' And here we are now.”
