Bill Maher’s crowd roars Andrew Cuomo message woke democrats

Andrew Cuomo, the “disgraced former Governor of New York” according to Dave Rubin, recently appeared on the show “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

One of the topics the panel addressed was immigration, perhaps the most pressing issue facing America.

Governor Cuomo did not hold back in his criticism of how the Democratic administration has handled the migrant crisis.

“I understand the far-left theory: We’re a nation of immigrants. Let everybody in. We all came here as immigrants. I get it,” he began, “but how we do it is what makes all the difference in the world.”

“You open the border without a plan? You don’t know where they’re going to go, you don’t know who’s going to pay for it. They end up in cities all over the country.”

And he had particularly harsh words for New York City, a city that is now regretting its decision to become a sanctuary city.

“New York has hundreds of thousands of [illegal immigrants] It’s driving up hotel prices and causing a huge loss to New York City,” he said.

These people “have no jobs, no training and no help to integrate into society,” he continued, asking: “So who are they helping?”

“You have someone from your previous workplace, the governor of New York, who is a Democrat, saying, ‘Don’t come here,’ and those are her exact words,” Maher added.

“Many mayors and governors were against sanctuary cities, but New York was on the left ideologically. And now, after 200,000 people have died, we knew we needed a plan. We needed to know what to do with these people,” Cuomo said as Maher’s audience applauded.

But Dave went a step further, saying, “If you don’t want illegal immigrants to come in, you have no obligation to let them in,” adding that Cuomo “would probably be doing the exact same things he criticizes if he hadn’t been ousted from office.”

“I don’t think he’s going to do anything differently now than Kathy Haukle, but now that he’s not governor he can go on Bill Maher’s show and pretend, ‘Well, obviously I’m sane. I had a plan and I wouldn’t have let these 200,000 people in,'” Dave scoffs.
