Liberal media outlets hyped comedian Bill Maher's new HBO stand-up special, urging viewers to “skip it.”
Critics from MSNBC.com, Decider, Salon and Cracked slammed the feature, which was published on January 10th, asking, “Is anyone else watching this?” He was criticized as “lazy”. They also took issue with the comedian's jokes that poke fun at far-left ideology.

McCarthy criticized the comedian for lacking memorable or edgy material, saying it didn't really push boundaries for viewers.
“Mr. Maher believes he has found a comfortable path by claiming to be a centrist liberal who appears to be leaning to the right simply because liberals are 'too woke.' “It's not so much a place for comedians as it is a place for Americans who have already established a comfortable lifestyle for themselves and don't want to be disturbed by anything outside their bubble.''
