Bitter DNC Says ‘Good Riddance’ to ‘Failed Fringe Candidate’ RFK Jr.

Less than 24 hours after the Democratic National Convention ended in a slump, Democrats are reeling after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endorsed Donald Trump.

Party loyalists and official organizations went into damage control on Friday, hoping to spend the day, just 75 days until Election Day, touting the success of the convention.

“Rather than garnering broader support, Trump is inheriting the burden of failed minority candidates,” said Mary Beth Cahill, a senior adviser to the Democratic National Committee. said In a statement.

“Good,” she added.

The statement ignores the significant support Kennedy received as a third-party candidate and the boost his endorsement will give Trump at a critical moment in the campaign.

David Axelrod, a former adviser to Barack Obama’s campaign and White House and now a CNN contributor, expressed his disappointment on social media.

“Robert F. Kennedy was my political hero,” Axelrod said, “He fought fiercely and eloquently against poverty, injustice and for economic fairness. Unfortunately, with his rambling exit from the race today, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. proves that sometimes the apple falls far from the tree … in this case, it has fallen down hill and off a cliff.”

The Harris campaign tried to stay bullish to hide any bitterness.

“For every American who is tired of Donald Trump and looking for a new way, our campaign is for you,” her campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, said in a statement Friday, following on from President Joe Biden’s suspended reelection campaign.

Kennedy joined Trump in Arizona on Friday night to thunderous applause and chants of “Bobby!”
