Blaze Media is proud to announce that renowned conservative writer Christopher Bedford will join the Blaze News team as Washington correspondent and senior political editor starting this week.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Mr. Bedford has worked for decades at a variety of conservative-leaning publications, including National Review, New Criterion, American Mind, Washington Examiner, Federalist, and Daily Caller News Foundation. He currently serves as a board member. . In 2016, he also published a book called The Art of the Donald.
Throughout his time in and out of right-wing media, Mr. Bedford lived in and around Washington, D.C., the epicenter of what former President Donald Trump often referred to as the “.”swampAs Blaze News’ Washington correspondent and senior political editor, Mr. Bedford will continue to focus on all things politics, including the swamp and its stakeholders.
To that end, he will write an Insider newsletter, publish several opinion columns, and appear on the show frequently. Blaze TV Programs provided Subscriber We bring you the latest news and updates from our nation’s capital.
Asked why he was in the midst of the swamp and the corruption that comes with it, Mr Bedford gave Blaze News a message of hope. “We have a good group of religious, conservative, patriotic people here, and they’re fighting hard,” Bedford said.
“I will not cede power to those who want to destroy this country.”
Part of continuing the fight, he said, is staying in Washington, D.C., and participating in what he sees primarily as a spiritual battle disguised as a political battle. “There are indeed forces of evil at work in this country and around the world,” he said, adding that “the hysteria and panic that our world has experienced in recent years” is a manifestation of another, more insidious phenomenon. He claimed that there was. Power is at work. ”
“I envy my friends who have built their families in God-fearing parts of this country,” he admitted, “but I’m not ready to give up the fight just yet.”
Blaze News Editor-in-Chief Matthew Peterson couldn’t help but agree. “Like Chris, I thoroughly enjoyed Washington, D.C., and visited the history and monuments with great respect. “He’s a really genuine person,” he said.
“But something has changed, and now we can feel it in the city itself. It’s an essential spiritual change. Some of the culture of corruption has gotten really ugly. It’s really disgusting. The spirit of the place feels really sinister.”But if you’re trying to improve things, clearly see through the degeneracy and what’s actually going on to fix it. We need to understand that,” Peterson added.
Peterson and Bedford are longtime friends. In fact, Bedford had known many of Blaze Media’s leaders over the years and wanted to find the right time to unite against a common enemy on the political left. The time was now, Bedford insisted. “We’re excited to be back here with TheBlaze to dive into the 2024 election and beyond.”
“TheBlaze has done a phenomenal job over the years to really build an American brand that speaks to people far beyond the Washington Beltway,” he continued. “But now we’re in a better position to expose and try to shine a light on what’s going on in DC.”
That sentiment makes Bedford a perfect fit for Blaze News, Peterson said. “Increasingly, we live in a world where everyone is not allowed to do that. look, I don’t care To tell, what is actually happening? This is especially true when it comes to political leaders, even those who are supposedly on “our side.” Republicans aren’t always honest with their voters, and neither are many of the people who pay shillings for them on other network media outlets.
“Chris is very rare in that he knows how things really work in Washington and is willing to call out what he sees. I can’t wait to do the commentary.”
