A Black Lives Matter (BLM) nonprofit has called on “white people” to engage in financial reparations and address its financial struggles.
According to Daily Caller, Black Lives Matter Grassroots recently issued a series of appeals for help for “our people,” acknowledging its responsibilities in June.
This June event has gained traction this year as various businesses and local governments reconsider their commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, as noted by the AP.
The press release, titled “June is our black jubilee,” didn’t delve into the declining interest and stated:

It’s time to make reparations. Consider a genuine reparative policy that acknowledges the benefits white people receive from government, capitalist structures, and wealth accumulated from exploited labor. Slide some cash to your black friend.
Engage with black liberation groups like BLM Grassroots. Don’t have funds? Wash your neighbor’s car, look after her kids, or clean her front yard. Just make sure not to ask them to join for a cookout.
Furthermore, a May survey from Pew Research Center indicated that the heightened focus on race prompted by the BLM movement since George Floyd’s murder in 2020 is unlikely to yield significant benefits for black individuals.
Additionally, crews in Washington, DC, have dismantled “Black Lives Matter Plaza,” despite the district’s mayor previously referring to it as a “permanent” installation.
The Plaza has drawn criticism, described as a divisive “stain” by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), who supported its removal, as reported by Breitbart News Daily.
