One representative of the country's Bluest state voted to pass bills that fund many far left projects and organizations as President Donald Trump and government efficiency freeze federal funding. did.
On Monday, Connecticut representatives voted to pass the overwhelming HB 7066. The measure is considered an “emergency recognition bill” and allows representatives to accelerate the approval process without the hassle of consulting first.
“It's really tragic to give people in abortion businesses $800,000 more taxpayer money.”
Above all, the bill provides a whopping $2.8 million in total funding. Many of them are assigned to the left group. The bill's biggest recipient is a planning parent in Southern New England, and is expected to receive a cool $800,000.
Chris Healy, executive director of the Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference, noted lawmakers that Plannered Tourhood had already been allocated $3 million at the end of the 2024 legislative session. Hartford Coolant. State Sen. Tammy Nuxio (R-Tolland) also claimed that the Capitol allocated another $500,000, bringing the total to $3.5 million in additional funding.
“Why are we giving planned custody to $800,000 now… do they need to spend the next three months?” Nuccio said on the floor of the house. And I was surprised.
“It's really tragic to give people in abortion businesses $800,000 of more taxpayer money,” Healy said. “We can only pray for those in power who reject this horrible idea.”
Sadly, the planned parent-child relationship in southern New England is far from the only left-wing group that benefits from HB 7066. The bill would give $225,000 to the Integrated Refugee & Immigration Services and Gay and Lesbian Community Centres in New Haven, $390,000 to Hartford Gays and Lesbian Health Collective.
Additionally, around 20 other organizations are expected to receive $62,500 each. These groups include Junta for Progressive Action, the Connecticut Refugees and Immigration Institute, Connecticut Immigration and Refugees Coalition, Connecticut Queer Youth Program, and Outctyet another LGBTQ outfit featuring its own youth program.
Middlesex Hospital is also expected to receive $62,500, and according to Coolant, the hospital is planning to spend money on “gender clinics.” Additionally, the bill requires each Connecticut school to designate at least one administrator to “interact” with federal immigration authorities.

State Sen. Toni Walker (D-New Haven) has basically admitted that Trump and Doge's efforts at the federal level have prompted this “urgent” funding bill at the state level. “This is a small, incremental help while trying to solve these issues with Washington,” Walker said.
“We were trying to spread it to as many organizations as possible. There were some places where we lost the funds. … They needed some support.”
The Jay case of Walcott's Republicans Gale Mastrofrancisco and Winstead has been overlooked in favor of Dem Pet projects on gender and sexuality, including those that help poor people and the homeless. I balked because I was there.
“We have American citizens who can't even afford to pay for electricity,” Mastrofrancesco said.
“Some people sleep outside at night,” he added. case. “There's nothing here for that.”
“Fund the politicians. Tell us what they value.”
Despite their objections, 7066 sailed through the 94-49 state capitol building, almost entirely along the party line. All Republicans voted against it, with only two Democrats taking part. On Tuesday, the Senate decided to schedule voting measures.
State Sen. Joe Canino (R-Torrington) described the entire scale as “absurd.”
“In this 'emergency bill' we are giving nearly $1 million to planned custody in Southern New England, which has donations of over $70 million. And that's the emergency situation for children with disabilities. Blaze News.
Leaders of the Connecticut Watch Dog Group Yankee Institute are also unhappy with the bill's spending.
“Please tell me what you're funding politicians. Tell me what they value,” Yankee Institute President Carol Platt Lebau said in a statement to Blaze News. Ta. “The fact that they did it secretly makes it clear that they know their priorities are outside the scope of a step with taxpayers subsidizing their reckless spending.”
Frank Rich, a fellow at the Yankee Institute, described the bill as “covered in the dark” and “a brutal slap for transparency.” But he also added that it shows how effective Trump and Doge are in just a few weeks.
“This bares the power of Doge and the power of strict audits and tears waste, fraud and abuse from the mask,” Rich said in a statement in Blaze News. “Without them, taxpayers would remain ignorant and their pockets quietly chose to fund these cozy political pet projects.”
