Boeing Whistleblower ‘Made Powerful Enemies’ Before Alleged Suicide

A former Boeing employee turned whistleblower who was involved in a lawsuit against the company and was found dead last week “made powerful enemies” during his career, a report said Friday. claims.

John Barnett died on March 9th at the age of 62 in what police described as a “self-inflicted wound.” Breitbart News reported that he had “provided evidence in a whistleblower case against the company” before his death.

Barnett worked for Boeing for 32 years before retiring from the company in 2017 for health reasons.

After their separation, he embarked on a lengthy lawsuit against the company.

He blamed the problems he cited for tarnishing his character and hurting his career, but Boeing dismissed the charges.

An employee, who asked not to be named, said employees were skeptical about the cause of their former colleague’s death and that it had been ruled a suicide.

In fact, what he said made me sick to my stomach, and he’s already dead. Maybe he committed suicide.

I don’t know what to believe. We don’t really talk about it on the (assembly) line. We are on camera from the moment we enter the premises. They can hear us. So no one wants to talk about it at work.

Many are skeptical, as he has made quite powerful enemies.

Another Boeing employee said post “Nothing about Boeing surprises me. It’s a good job, but you have to stand in line or you won’t work there anymore.”

Barnett believed he could have been killed and that his death was a fabricated suicide, a close friend of Barnett claimed in a telephone interview with ABC News 4 that aired Thursday.

“He wasn’t worried about his safety because I said, ‘Are you scared?'” Barnett’s friend Jennifer said, according to the station. video report.

“And his voice, the way he spoke, was like, ‘No, I’m not scared.’ He said, ‘But if something happens to me, it won’t be suicide.'” I know he didn’t commit suicide, but that’s not true. He loved his life too much, he loved his family too much, he loved his brothers too much to bear what they were going through right now. ”

Boeing did not directly address the allegations surrounding Mr. Barnett’s death, but issued a statement saying it was “saddened by Mr. Barnett’s death and our thoughts are with his family and friends.”

Police have not indicated that Boeing is under investigation or that any wrongdoing is suspected.

Barnett’s death comes as the production standards of both Boeing and its major supplier, Spirit AeroSystems, are under intense scrutiny.

The FAA announced last week that a six-week audit of the company found “multiple instances of the company’s alleged failure to comply with manufacturing quality control requirements.”
