Boomer Esiason reinforces his criticism of Abdul Carter amid Jaxson Dart's situation with Trump.

Boomer Esiason isn’t shying away from his comments regarding Abdul Carter’s recent remarks.

The former NFL quarterback and WFAN radio host expressed skepticism about Jackson Dart’s introduction of President Trump at Rockland Community College last week, criticizing the Giants’ 2025 No. 3 overall draft pick.

“It’s fascinating how people interpret what you say,” Esiason remarked on his show Wednesday. “I was quite critical of Abdul-Carter for a reason. If you’re a Giants fan, you should know what (former interim coach) Mike Kafka needed to do to address Abdul-Carter’s actions. It’s evident he didn’t. This certainly contributes to his narrative as a New York Giant, which has been pretty disappointing. This is a guy who wanted No. 11; I think he was actually looking for No. 56, his college number. He didn’t seem to know what he was after when he got here.”

Esiason referred to Carter as a “kid” due to his comments about the situation and pointed out issues with Carter’s attendance and behavior in his rookie season.

Carter expressed on X that he thought Dart’s introduction to Trump was “AI” and questioned the intention behind it, later realizing it was real.

Carter also mentioned that he had spoken to Dart “as a man” and that there were no hard feelings, but Esiason dismissed this, stating that Dart was the only one engaged in that conversation.

In response to the controversy surrounding the president, Dart organized a team meeting.

According to Ryan Dunleavy, Dart had discussions with his teammates, including Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeau, and Jameis Winston, to address any lingering concerns.

However, Esiason still has unresolved issues with Carter. “Jackson Dart wasn’t political at all, but people might argue he supported the president by just being there, and that’s totally okay,” he said.

Meanwhile, offensive tackle Jermaine Elemunor tweeted that “the locker room is fine,” even before the meeting occurred.

Looking ahead, Big Blue has aspirations for a significant improvement in 2026 under new coach John Harbaugh, with Dart likely playing a crucial role in those ambitions.

Coaches, including Harbaugh, will certainly be hoping this signals a season that could lead to a playoff appearance.
