Boston cops respond to call of man asking them to sing ‘Happy Birthday’

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, two Boston police officers showed up at a resident’s home with a row of festive muffins and candles, fulfilling a resident’s birthday wish.

Police said the 25-year-old man called authorities and asked for someone to wish him a happy birthday.

Officer Israel Bracho and his partner, Franklin Ortiz, initially assumed the call was a joke, but quickly sprang into action after confirming that it was indeed a special day for this young man. . WHDH reported.

“Everyone has one birthday, so everyone has the right to feel special on that day,” Bracho told the magazine.

When the police officer started serenading Chris with the song “Happy Birthday,” he was all smiles.

After making a wish and blowing out the candles, an overjoyed Chris shook hands with both of them.

“You guys are amazing,” Chris said.

“Nothing, this is more than I could ask for,” Chris replied, holding up a muffin.
