Amid a series of allegations that Bravo failed to ensure the safety of its cast members, Page Six revealed that “Vanderpump Rules” star James Kennedy had been arrested for domestic violence a year before he was arrested on a domestic violence charge. I learned that the department was investigating claims that he had been violent.

Sources told Page Six that in the fall of 2023, a production whistleblower filed a complaint against Evolution Media, the production company that produces Bravo shows, about behind-the-scenes rumors. Kennedy was warned about the extensive list of allegations made against him. The content of the show was hinted at publicly or mentioned during the taping of the show.

Among them were allegations (not independently substantiated by Page Six) that he attacked multiple women with whom he had sexual relations. Bravo hired an independent attorney to investigate the allegations, according to documents seen by Page Six.

According to sources, Bravo launched an independent investigation after production officials alleged that Kennedy had committed violent acts against women. Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen/Instagram

Officials said the whistleblower was horrified when Kennedy appeared with other cast members at BravoCon, the network's live fan convention, even though the investigation was still ongoing. They were particularly offended by the host having him sing a song about “suddenly being the number one guy in the group” (based on a joke about pecking order on the show), and even gave him a funny award For “colloquial excellence”.

It is unclear what happened to the investigation, as the station fired all of the show's cast members en masse last month. Kennedy was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence on Dec. 10 for allegedly attacking his girlfriend, Allie Lubar.

The news comes after Bravo said there was an investigation underway against high-profile Andy Cohen. exonerated him of his wrongdoings In at least two issues, “The Real Housewives of New York” star Leah McSweeney's claim that Cohen and other producers intentionally caused her to fall off the wagon (alleged in a lawsuit) and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Housewives star Brandi Glanville alleges that Cohen sexually harassed her by sending her a video in which he asked her to watch him have sex. (Cohen denied any wrongdoing in the McSweeney case and apologized for the “inappropriate” video in the Glanville case).

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Caroline Manzo also sued Bravo, accusing the network of allowing Glanville to sexually abuse her during filming. (Granville denied sexually harassing Manzo).
