Patrick Houston Jr., son of famed rapper Project Pat, was reportedly killed Friday in a brazen daylight shooting.
The Memphis Police Department (MPD) said the 21-year-old was fatally wounded when shots were fired in a Tennessee park shortly after 1 p.m., according to TMZ. The incident unfolded in Imogene Heights and police said Houston had already perished by the time they arrived on-scene. Houston was immersed in the music industry. Houston’s father rose to fame in the 1990s under the name Project Pat and went on to become a Memphis legend. Pat singed on to the group Killa Klan Kaze, often referenced as the Kaze, in 1998. They released their debut album that very first year.

Kaze has been affiliated with Three 6 Mafia and Juicy J for years and has strong ties in the music industry. Project Pat achieved a gold certified album by the RIAA called “Mista Don’t Play: Everythang’s Workin,’” which was released in 2001, months prior to Houston Jr.’s birth.
Project Pat has not spoken publicly about the loss of his son on social media. (RELATED: Diddy Accuser Makes Bombshell Allegations Connecting Diddy To Murder Of Tupac Shakur)
