As a proud member of Gen Z, I'm hoping to be honest. We didn't grow up with politicians who kept our promises. We grew up watching sky slogans, endless wars, broken systems, and leaders who seem to be more interested in American apologies than they fight. So when Donald Trump promised to walk to Washington and put America first, many doubted he would chase.
But he didn't just talk – he delivered.
Trump's first 100 days were an excuse-making masterclass. Political establishment and the media laughed, screamed, melted every day, but Trump has come to do his job exactly what he said. (Related: Brilyn Hollyhand: 3 ways Trump can build on his victory in Gen Z
From day one, Trump made it clear that national security is important. He signed an executive order to start protection Southern border. he Powered ice The book has already enforced immigration laws. He began building a framework for stronger, safer America, not just for the next four years, but for the next generation.
Internationally, Trump predicted strength rather than apologise. When Yemen's Houthi rebels crossed the line, Trump did not make a strong statement – he launched Targeted military strikes It sent a clear message: America is back and our enemies are responsible. During Trump's first term, the so-called “caliphate” of ISIS began It collapsed Rapidly showing the world strength rather than weakness is what maintains peace.
For my generation, Trump's first 100 days were wake-up calls. For years, we were told by professors, celebrities and media experts that America was there. Permanent decline – A low-anticipated future was normal and even good. Trump blew the story apart. He didn't believe America could win again – he proved it.
Please be honest. Style points were never a goal. Trump did not respond to political correctness or Beltway's elitism. He used Twitter to talk directly to Americans and bypassed corrupt media filters. Was that unconventional? yes. Was it effective? absolutely. He spoke obviously, sometimes roughly, but always with a clear purpose. It's disrupting a system that has failed us for decades.
The media won't acknowledge that, but Trump's first 100 days laid the foundation for record-breaking economic growth, energy domination and national pride that defined the next three years.
Gen Z didn't need another career politician. We needed a destroyer – someone is willing to take a hit, break old rules and fight for the outcome. Trump did that.
Looking back, it's even clearer now. Trump's first 100 days were not about swamp headlines or handshakes. They were about recovering something bigger – hope.
I hope that hard work is still important. I hope America can still lead. I hope that America's dreams are still alive – not just for the elite, but for everyone.
Gen Z looks to the future and looks less for sophisticated speeches or blank promises. We are looking for leaders who deliver results and give America the top priority.
Donald Trump's first 100 days proved he was his leader. And if we want to secure a future worthy of our generation, it would be wise to remember how much he achieved and how quickly he achieved it.
