Brock Pierce offers $1 million for proof of election fraud in California

In the wake of allegations surrounding the Los Angeles mayoral election, Brock Pierce, a former child actor who has transitioned into the cryptocurrency world, has put forth a $1 million reward for credible evidence of election fraud.

Pierce introduced his initiative, dubbed “Cure the Vote,” on Monday. The goal here is, well, to enhance transparency and accountability regarding the mayoral race that’s been under significant scrutiny, especially over how votes are counted.

“Cure The Vote aims to provide a secure and independent platform for election officials, contractors, campaign personnel, election observers, whistleblowers, and the public to report credible evidence of potential election fraud or misconduct,” a press release noted about the initiative’s debut.

Submitted evidence will be carefully reviewed by independent attorneys, experts in election law, and investigators before any rewards are considered.

The initiative takes a bipartisan approach, not assuming any wrongdoing initially. Instead, it’s focused on bolstering public trust by meaningfully addressing credible allegations with professional scrutiny, according to the release.

This announcement follows the declaration of Nithya Raman as the runner-up to Karen Bass, who surged ahead after a notable increase in votes. The competition also saw Spencer Pratt narrowly miss out on his chance.

Cure The Vote referenced other reward programs targeting public interest, similar to those previously promoted by Larry Flynt, the Hustler magazine publisher. Back in 2007, he offered a $1 million prize for revealing any hypocrisy or misconduct among government officials.

In fact, Flynt continued this practice, attempting to expose congressional wrongdoings in 2012 and even spending $10 million in 2017 to gather information that could lead to the impeachment of President Trump during his first term.

“Advocates suggest that similar principles can be applied to preserving election integrity, urging those with first-hand knowledge and valid evidence to step forward,” the press release explained.

As for Pierce, he has a notable political background, having run for president as an independent in 2020 and later aiming for a Vermont Senate seat with backing from former Trump advisor Steve Bannon, although he ultimately withdrew.
