Brody King Raises Awareness at “Grand Slam Mexico” in Mexico City

Brody King, a prominent figure in elite wrestling, made an interesting statement by wearing a t-shirt that read “impregnated ice” while participating in the “Grand Slam Mexico” event held in Mexico City on Wednesday night.

The wrestling star took part in a 14-man tag team match, facing off against notable names like Adam Cole, Atlantis, Bandido, Daniel Garcia, and Templario. King and his team emerged victorious, defeating an array of rivals including Dachshund Harwood, Hechesero, and Lance Archer.

This event unfolded in Arena Mexico, showcasing talents from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), which stands as one of Mexico’s premier wrestling promotions.

In addition to his performance, King voiced support for protesters in Los Angeles who were fighting against city immigration raids. These protests, at times, turned violent, affecting law enforcement and leading to significant unrest.

He echoed the sentiments of Mexican makeup artist Jose Cholera in a social media post, reflecting on the plight of the protesters.

“What’s occurring in Los Angeles isn’t just a moral outrage; it’s also lacking legal protection. This city was designated as a sanctuary via democratic voting by its residents,” he stated.

He went on to clarify that being undocumented in the U.S. isn’t classified as a crime but rather a civil offense, likening it to running a stop sign on a bike or other minor infractions.

King stressed, “It is not law enforcement to forcibly drag someone off the street without a warrant or proper procedure.” He criticized the actions of those enforcing laws, suggesting they themselves might be acting outside constitutional protections.

In the wake of King’s remarks, similar sentiments were echoed by others, including Los Angeles Dodgers player Enrique Hernandez and Angel City FC from the National Women’s Football League.

Meanwhile, reactions from political figures have varied, with President Donald Trump indicating stronger support for ICE in Los Angeles and calling for expansion of its operations to other areas.
