Broncos’ Bo Nix making Offensive Rookie of the Year award a race

Bo Nix is playing himself in the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation.

After weeks of seemingly over races, the Broncos quarterback was rated +400 at BetMGM Sportsbook and snuck up on Commanders signal-caller Jayden Daniels to claim the award.

Daniels has stalled after a strong start to the 2024 season, but he remains at -600 until OROY, but the odds are much worse than they were a few days ago.

Before Week 11, Daniels was -3000 to a win, while the Knicks were +1200.

The Knicks appear to be improving as the season progresses while Daniels is suffering from a rib injury that has hampered his play.

After throwing four interceptions and zero touchdowns through the air in his first three games, the Oregon State product has recorded 14 touchdown passes and just two picks since Week 4. He has scored two rushing touchdowns.

He led the Broncos to an astonishing 6-5 record, going from +550 to making the playoffs a season ago.

Daniels is still having a better season overall, as projected by BetMGM oddsmakers.

Daniels, who was selected second overall in the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU, is at the helm and has an even more impressive record of 7 wins and 4 losses.

Daniels threw for 2,338 yards and completed 68.7 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

But he and the team have taken a step back over the past two weeks, opening the door for the Knicks in the award race.

The managers have lost games to the Steelers and Eagles over the past two weeks, but Daniels has thrown just one touchdown and one interception in both games.

No matter how the final seven weeks of the season play out, either Daniels or the Knicks will likely be favored to lose.

Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (+2500) is the only rookie with odds above 40/1.
