Bronny James’ future lies outside of USC.
The son of NBA legend LeBron James entered the draft after just one season with the Trojans and also entered the transfer portal in case he chooses to remain in college.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, He plans to train for and visit NBA teams. A draft decision is then prepared based on the evaluation.
Bronny’s freshman season at the University of Southern California was disappointing under difficult circumstances.
During a July practice at the University of Southern California, Bronny went into cardiac arrest and was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, sidelining him for nearly five months.
He made his season debut about a month after USC’s season began.
The 19-year-old averaged just 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Trojans, shooting just over 25 percent from three.

There were reports earlier this week that Bronny would be entering the portal following the departure of USC head coach Andy Enfield to coach at SMU.
