Brown University Reaches Settlement with U.S. Government

Brown University, an Ivy League institution located in Providence, Rhode Island, has come to an agreement with the U.S. government that includes firing workforce development organizations across various states.

President Donald Trump expressed his congratulations to the university through a post on True Society, stating, “Congratulations to Brown University on a settlement with the US government. There are no more anti-Semitic, anti-Christian or opposed!”

Ohio’s state president mentioned that the settlement could push Columbia’s Ivy League College into “survival mode.”

Linda McMahon, Trump’s Secretary of Education, commented on the agreement as well, claiming it successfully counters what she refers to as the long-standing influence of “woke” policies in higher education. She asserted, “Due to the Trump administration’s resolution agreement with Brown University, aspiring students are judged solely by their merits, not race or sex.”

She further emphasized that restoring higher education institutions to places focused on academic merit and civil debate was a lasting achievement of the Trump administration, which she believes will positively impact students and American society.

President Christina Paxon of Brown University explained in a communications message that the university had “voluntarily” entered into this agreement and highlighted that it does not entail any payments to the federal government. She pointed out the various pressures facing the university, including the challenges caused by the termination of contracts and unpaid research grants.

Paxon reinforced the university’s commitment to safeguarding all its community members from harassment and discrimination, asserting that the institution is devoted to creating an environment where faculty and students can study freely without the fear of censorship.
