Buc-ee’s gas stations are set to launch their first locations in new states.

Buc-ee’s, known as the largest convenience store and gas station in the world, is gaining a lot of attention with several new locations opening this summer.

This popular Texas-based chain, recognized for its clean bathrooms, homemade snacks, and beaver-themed merchandise, is preparing to unveil three more travel centers, including its debut spots in Virginia and Mississippi.

The exciting openings are set for:

  • Harrison County, Mississippi – June 9, 2025
  • Rockingham County, Virginia – June 30, 2025
  • Brunswick, Georgia – July 1, 2025

The Rockingham County location in Virginia, about 2.5 hours west of Washington, D.C., will be Buc-ee’s most northeastern site accessible by car. This introduces the brand to many potential customers who may not be familiar with its offerings.

In a social media update early in 2024, the county expressed appreciation, stating, “We would like to thank Buc-ee for choosing Rockingham County as the first Virginia location to open in mid-2025.”

According to Rockingham County, the center will cover 74,000 square feet—roughly 1.5 times the area of a football field. It will also feature over 120 fuel pumps, 600 parking spots, and 20 electric vehicle charging stations.

Virginia’s Governor Glenn Youngkin welcomed the project when it was announced in early 2024.

He expressed excitement on social media, stating, “Virginia is proud to welcome Buc-ee’s to the Commonwealth! Today’s groundbreaking represents 200 jobs and more than $60 million in investments in Rockingham County. I can’t wait to try the Beaver Nuggets soon!”

The Mississippi Buc-ee’s center will also be 74,000 square feet, employing 200 people and featuring 100 gas pumps along with 20 electric vehicle charging stations.

As for the Brunswick site, it will be the third Buc-ee’s in Georgia, located around five hours southeast of Atlanta.
