Time magazine named Indiana Fever newcomer Caitlin Clark its Athlete of the Year, a clear rebellion against the woke belief that only black women should receive that honor.
One would think Clark superfan Jason Whitlock would be overjoyed. And so was he at first. But when he read Clark's interviewit almost made him cry—sad tears.
Clark's statements suggest that she has joined the dark side. It appears the progressive wing of the WNBA, which Whitlock calls the Wake Negro Basketball Association, has finally won her over.
“I read the whole article and I almost cried when I finished it,” he admits. “They slaughtered Caitlin Clark.”
“I was watching sports and all my worries went out of my mind and all I could think was, 'Oh, I love this little girl, I love what she represents.' …They destroyed it,” Whitlock laments.
“Angry black lesbians who hated her — I love watching her kill them,” he says.
However, it appears that Clark himself was murdered, but in a different manner.
“I'm with the Wake Negro Basketball Association. I'm with the feminists. I'm with the lesbians,” Whitlock said, paraphrasing Clark's statements in the interview.
He shares several quotes from interviews that put Clark's unfortunate transformation on full display, but this one is perhaps the most telling.
“I'd like to say I've got it all, but as a white man, I'm privileged. A lot of the really good players in the league were black players, and this league is kind of built on them. If we value it more, highlight it, talk about it and this review I think it's really important that brands and companies continue to invest in the players that have made the sport great, and we have to continue to strive to change that. It would be great if we could do that.”
According to Jason, this reaction shouldn't come as a surprise.
“She's behind enemy lines. They grab her and say, 'Hey, read this statement,'” he sighs.
