Does he seem like some kind of dummy to you?
A California driver learned a lesson from a painful experience when police pulled him over in a carpool lane and the “passenger” was a life-like mannequin.
“So people are asking, ‘If I have a mannequin in the passenger seat, does that count as a second occupant in the car?'” I’m here! ” California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs Office He wrote about the incident on Instagram.
The post included a snapshot of a dummy with a very realistic rubber mask, complete with a goatee and sunglasses, and a makeshift sweatshirt torso.
“We have to give it to them. The look is next-level modeling, but at the end of the day…plastic is plastic,” the agency said.
“Officer Kaplan stopped the vehicle for crossing double solid lines, but then realized that the driver was the only person in the vehicle with his plastic friend. It was sharp…just a little too sharp,” they added.

According to the post, the driver was issued a citation for a carpooling violation.
“Remember to plan ahead and be aware of travel routes and common driving challenges to avoid rushing or trying to push your luck,” the CHP warned.
