A California man was found guilty of murder for killing his girlfriend on Christmas Eve, who was tortured and found with a tattoo of what authorities described as “degrading language.” It was done.
Arisen Takacs-Escobar was found dead on December 24, 2021, in the apartment he shared with 24-year-old Saul C. Nava, according to a statement from the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.
Nava was found guilty Tuesday of nine felonies, including first-degree murder, torture, kidnapping, aggravated mayhem, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of child pornography and bodily injury to a current or former cohabitant.
Authorities said police responded to the couple's apartment in Thousand Oaks, California, near Los Angeles, after Nava called 911 for medical assistance.

When paramedics arrived at the home, they found Takachiescobar dead with injuries “all over his body.”
“She had extensive bruising, a large laceration on the top of her head, and a new tattoo of a humiliating word in the center of her chest,” the district attorney's office said.
Police said Nava was arrested at his home.

Police also found a baseball bat, hammer and screwdriver. The district attorney's office said Nava used the tool to beat and torture her for “several days.”
Police said Nava's cellphone video taken hours before Escobar's death shows her 24-year-old boyfriend “teasing her and showing indifference to her worsening condition.” It is said that it was reflected in the image.
Authorities announced that a subsequent investigation revealed that Nava had previously tortured his ex-girlfriend.
One ex-girlfriend said he “locked her in a closet” and repeatedly beat her.
“At one point, she attempted to flee, but Mr. Nava spotted her and threatened her with a knife until she got into his vehicle,” the district attorney's office said.

In another case, Nava's ex-girlfriend became pregnant at age 17 and allegedly convinced Nava to have an abortion.
“She was punched in the face, strangled, and secretly filmed having sex with Nava,” the district attorney's office said. “The abuse finally stopped in the summer of 2021 when Ms. Nava started dating Mr. Takacs-Escobar.”
