California Post Set to Launch in January

The California Post, a sister publication of the New York Post, will officially debut on January 26, as announced by the company. It aims to bring a “new era of common sense and responsibility” to journalism in California, offering both digital and print formats around the clock.

This new outlet will function as a distinct entity within the New York Post Media Group, yet it plans to adopt the straightforward, no-nonsense journalism that the New York Post is known for. Editor-in-Chief Nick Papps expressed a commitment to holding leaders accountable and working for the everyday Californian, stating it’s time for a change.

Papps highlighted that the California Post will be instrumental in covering significant events, including elections and major sporting events like the Super Bowl and the World Series, emphasizing the importance of being at the center of California’s defining moments. He described the upcoming year as crucial for the state.

When the California Post was first announced, the New York Post Media Group indicated that it would provide a unique blend of fearless journalism, celebrity news, sports coverage, and the iconic features that readers expect, all tailored to a California audience.

The publication has reportedly built a team of top-notch reporters who will work from a new newsroom situated on Century City’s Fox Lot, with a mission to share stories that others might overlook.

Papps mentioned that the California Post will deliver content across various platforms, including mobile and desktop sites, videos, audio, social media, and daily print editions. He remarked on the positive reception so far and expressed confidence that people are eager for a shift away from traditional media approaches, signaling that the change will officially commence on January 26.
