Influencer Alex Cooper, host of the podcast “Call Her Daddy,” responded to criticism after meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris in the final weeks of the campaign.
“They reached out to me and I realized that in another election that probably wouldn't be the case and who knows what I would do in future elections, but in this particular election, The entire focus is on women's bodies and we do that.'' Cooper said that although he tried to avoid politics on the show, he felt compelled to speak out following the Roe v. Wade reversal.
“As a woman, why wouldn't I do something like this?” she said, detailing her decision to interview Harris during the campaign.
Asked about the backlash, Cooper told Forbes it was expected. “Listen, I knew this was going to happen. I'm very aware that the audience is very divided, and I take that responsibility again. I don't want to alienate people. But I felt responsible, so I just didn't care.”
The Harris campaign reportedly spent six figures on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, which has fewer than 1 million views on YouTube.
President Trump's appearance on “Logan” on Oct. 25 has well over 50 million views on YouTube, but Harris' “Call Her Daddy” has yet to reach 1 million views.
Rogan said he was in talks with Harris' team to have her appear on the podcast. the plan was scrapped when she refused to come to his studio in Austin, Texas to record.
