Canadian Conservative Leader Removed From House Of Commons For Defying Speaker, Insulting Trudeau

Canada’s Conservative Party leader was expelled from the House of Commons during Tuesday’s parliament for defying the Speaker and hurling insults at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Pierre Poièvre was sent off for the rest of the day after clashing with Speaker of the House Greg Fergus. according to On the Daily Wire. Poièvre’s inflammatory remarks, in which he described Prime Minister Trudeau’s drug policy as “bizarre,” fueled the exchange. During question period, Mr. Poièvre attacked Mr. Trudeau’s policies, drawing applause from his Conservative colleagues. But Mr Fergus, a Liberal member of the Liberal Party, argued the wording was contrary to Parliament and called for it to be withdrawn.

Mr Fergus stressed the need for civility.

“There are some things that are unacceptable that are happening here today. Despite Fergus’ repeated requests, the lawmaker continued to defy the speaker’s authority, resulting in his removal from parliament, the Daily Wire reported. Poièvre then repeated his criticism of Trudeau on social media platform X.
