A traveling carnival worker stabbed a man with a box cutter early Tuesday morning at the Santa's Enchanted Forest holiday theme park in Florida, police said.
Nicholas Joe Moore, 32, of Mississippi, allegedly approached a man in a food line in the Medley Park food court area in an “aggressive manner” around 12:30 a.m. and attacked the victim. He is said to have “forcibly” shoved his forearm into her neck. , according to a police report. Retrieved by WPLG.
The victim shoved Moore and a scuffle broke out.
As the two men lay on the ground, Moore allegedly pulled out a box cutter and stabbed the man repeatedly as he screamed for help, prompting several bystanders to intervene.
While the two men were arguing on the ground, Moore later told police that “a black male brandished a gold firearm,” and that “both parties distanced themselves,” the complaint said.
Moore said his girlfriend was waiting in line to buy food when the victim approached her. It was only when the victim began “mounting” him that he brought out a box cutter, according to the police report.
It is not clear what the two were discussing.
According to WPLG, Moore was identified by police as the perpetrator and was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. This is a second-degree felony.
As of Tuesday afternoon, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $10,000 bail, according to jail records.

Park officials said Post-Moore was employed by a third-party carnival company and that the stabbing occurred after closing time, when the park was mostly empty.
