Carville Laughs About Democrats Focusing on Trump's 'Foolish Kids and Their Partners' After the Midterms

Carville Predicts Trump Will Face Consequences Post-2026 Elections

On Tuesday, Democratic strategist James Carville suggested that former President Donald Trump may “terminate the deal” following the midterm elections in 2026, especially after Democrats have set their sights on his family.

Since Trump’s second inauguration on January 20, 2025, numerous congressional Democrats have attempted to push impeachment resolutions over various issues, including his policies on illegal immigration and the military action against Iran’s nuclear sites in June 2025. Carville emphasized that Trump is not the only focus of Democratic scrutiny. He mentioned an upcoming meeting between Senator Chuck Schumer and Congressman Jeffias at the White House, expected to showcase a façade of unity.

“Democrats are going to investigate you endlessly,” Carville remarked. “And they’re not just stopping at you; they’re going to look into your children and their spouses. There’s a lot they’ll dig into.” He indicated that Trump’s military actions regarding Iran could lead to serious allegations, potentially war crimes, and noted that in the upcoming 2028 election, Democrats will leverage any international indictment against him without hesitation.

Trump has faced multiple indictments during his previous term, involving corporate fraud accusations from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and challenges to the 2020 election results by Special Counsel Jack Smith and Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis.

Carville also warned Trump that while Vice President J.D. Vance might offer a pardon, there are limits to what can be forgiven at the International Criminal Court, hinting that Trump might not find asylum there.
