Los Angeles Chargers star Derwin James has no plans to change his stubborn style of play on the football field, despite being penalized for several hits this season.
James is scheduled to return next week when the Chargers play the Denver Broncos on the road. Los Angeles received a bye this week, and James was suspended for the game against the Kansas City Chiefs for “repeated violations of playing rules” regarding player safety.

The veteran defensive back was suspended for a hit on Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth in Week 2. Even with the suspension, James made it clear he wouldn't change his approach – except perhaps to target the lower body of his opponents.

“I'm going to play my style, but like I said, I'm just going to go low,” he added.
