The 2024 presidential election was not particularly close, as Vice President Kamala Harris was unable to sway the post-2020 red states, while Donald Trump won all seven battleground states.
Democrats have come under fire since Harris' loss, and Charles Barkley has joined the fray.
Barkley said Trump won a second time because Democrats “didn't have a strategy.”

Barkley, a former CNN host, also implored those dissatisfied with the outcome to get over it.
“I wish him the best, but we lost, and to all the Democrats out there, I just want to say this: I'm an independent who voted Democratic. Please, shut up. If you win, if you lose, you can say what you want.
“I don't think everyone who voted for Trump is a racist or anything like that. I'm not a fan of his, but he's the president. I guess I have to respect the president.”

Trump won 312 electoral votes in the 30 states he won, compared to 226 for Harris.
